Paid Events

At paid events, sellers are matched for a sequence of one-on-one phone-based conversations with buyers who meet their criteria. Buyers are paid for their time. Paid events are a revolutionary way to generate recurring revenue by helping sellers cultivate their relationships with potential buyers, while strengthening your community. Most marketing is about hope – hope that the right decision-makers will lend a few minutes of their time. At Second Meeting paid events, sellers pay specific buyers for their time. Hope is out of the marketing equation.

Sellers You can designate buyer criteria from which sellers will select their target buyers. For example, one set of criteria might be the types of purchase decisions that the buyer makes. When sellers select which types of buyers they want to speak with, they are shown the rates per minute for each. Sellers pre-pay to speak with buyers through PayPal.

Buyers While registering, when buyers provide information about themselves, they are shown how much they will be paid per hour. During the event, buyers can see their account balances rising live. They can receive their payment in a PayPal account at any time during or after the event.

Events Paid events operate much as Free Events do. However, the method of communication used by all paid events is Voice Over IP (“VOIP”). During the event, participants will receive phone calls bridging them with participants they are paired with.

VOIP PROS: The most user friendly option. Little waiting time between conversations. No dialing required. Does not require downloading/using Skype(TM) or using a PC microphone.

VOIP CONS: Costs $0.02 per minute for US participants and more for international participants. Requires that the system have participants’ correct phone numbers. (However, during the event, participants can modify the numbers at which they are called.)
